Miller Environmental Services new Vapor Control Unit (VCU) is a patented process for the reduction of gases like benzene, hydrogen sulfide, and other compounds from air that is vented that is vented from tanks, vessel, and process units.

Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC’s) and other gases are conventionally captured from such sources by passing the vented gases through a bed of absorbent material such as activated carbon. Our process allows the forced gases to pass through the VCU’s proprietary aqueous medium before reaching the activated carbon. This process extends the useful life of the activated carbon, thus reducing the cost of replacement, handling, transportation and disposal of the carbon media by as much as 90% in certain cases.

In addition to the enormous potential for direct cost reductions, the Miller VCU system delivers significant regulatory compliance, operational health and safety benefits.

Miller VCU’s are available in two standard models designed specifically to deal with small volume sources. However, larger custom units have been manufactured to the client’s specifications to meet their special needs.
